Welcome to Sleepless Boudoir, an Austin-based photography studio specializing in boudoir and intimate portrait sessions for women and couples. I'm Tommy, the photographer. Nothing from your session is shared without your written permission, and that permission is given image by image.
Whether this is your first professional photo session or something you've been considering for a while, every session starts the same way. Marggie spends about an hour on your hair and makeup, then stays in the room through the whole session.
A Thoughtful, Personal Photography Experience
You do not need any experience in front of a camera or any idea how to pose. I give clear direction the whole way through, and the hour with Marggie gives you time to settle in before we start. You set the pace.
Most sessions happen in my private Austin studio, which has three sets. There is a window seat under a large window looking onto oak trees, a bedroom set with a tufted headboard, an oval mirror and a mustard bench, and a gold velvet chaise against a painted palm mural under a beaded chandelier. Most of the light comes through the windows. If you would rather shoot somewhere that means something to you, on-location sessions are available.
After the session I retouch every image myself, and your gallery is delivered privately behind a password.
Is Boudoir or an Intimate Portrait Session Right for Me?
Many people come into a session feeling unsure. It's common to worry about how you'll look, or whether this kind of photography is "for you." Those concerns are normal, and most clients have them before their session. Curiosity is enough. You don't need to feel ready or confident before reaching out.
Clients come at different stages of life. Some are celebrating a milestone, some are processing a change or reclaiming confidence, and some want to see themselves in a new way. During the session I explain what I'm about to do before I do it, and I stop the moment you look unsure.
If you'd like to see the space before you decide, you can visit the studio first, with no camera out.
An Austin Studio With Flexible Options
Sleepless Boudoir is based in Austin, Texas and serves clients throughout Central Texas, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, and the surrounding areas. Sessions are available in the studio or on location. Many clients travel in from outside Austin, including Boerne, San Antonio, and the Hill Country. Tell me where you are coming from and I will work the timing around your drive.
The studio address is shared only after booking, which keeps it private for every client who walks through the door.
